Just use it. Enjoy it. Who cares if it shines as long as it works. You want a shiny coil? Build a new one

IF you pour hydrogen peroxide on to a pulsed stainless steel coil it will dissipate a very thin layer of the skin and make you all shiny and new again.

Yep... Good luck to vaping Dihydrogen Dioxide.

Until you just vape only either pure PG or VG without flavoring and the extra sweetener kick in the e-juice you really can't be sure what wire is the best to use. It comes down to what is the least effected by flavoring and extra sweetener in the e-juice.

I seem to have less gunk on everything when using NR-R-NR wire for some reason. Not saying no gunk but less gunk. Plus I DIY my own juice and don't use a lot of sweetener and mostly clear flavoring when possible.

Never play with matches. You might burn the skin off your face.

Doesn't dry burning an SS coil make it duller? Why do you want shiny coils anyway? So you can show them of to your friends? So it matches your iphone?

Excessively dry burning stainless steel coils is not the best of ideas anyway as it may be harmful [ecigarette-research.org] to more than just your coil's luster.

I was very pleased with how long Titanium coils go without gunking up. It was easily 3-4 times as long. The inability to dry burn and clean Ti is what caused me to move on. I don't have time to rewrap coils every day when I can get a year of use from a Kanthal coil if I feel like. I vape mostly homebrew N.E.T. Juices so daily dry burning is a necessity as N.E.T.s gunk up coils extremely quick. Stainless coils can be dry burned but it's best to keep the glow low. Try to keep the wire at a dark blue hue once cooled.

I don't think I get my SS coils shiny again but when they get really gunked up (which is often) I remove the dirty cotton and scrub the coils with a toothbrush that I have lathered with toothpaste. Then I rinse it good under hot water, blow any water out of the air intake and pat/air dry. Then put it back on the mod, briefly pulse it hot and re-wick if the coil survived this process intact.

Seems to work pretty well.

Yeah friends and iphones. That's what I was asking about :/
Forget the shine, I was referring to a clean coil compared to a dull one.

This is helpful. I think I may be over pulsing the coils.
They still work fine, but I'll keep this in mind next time.

I use my stainless steel coils for 3 maybe 4 days then replace. I always have a spare base already coiled and ready to go in rotation. Unlike kanthal which I can dry burn and reuse over and over again, I'm not as comfortable doing that with SS.

The other day, I made a kanthal coil and realized why I'm sticking with SS316L, the taste is cooler and cleaner.

Note: TC ain't shit outside when the temperature is below 33F

I'm not conceited, but god knows I have reason to be!
